Pg. 225 "Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacterers"
"Hayes & McFarland", which began in 1903 merged with
the "Mauser Manufactering Company"
of NY and the "Roger Williams Silver Company" of
Providence, RI to form the "Mount Vernon
Silversmiths" in 1903. The company in turn
was purchased by "Gorham" in 1913.
These pieces are from the same lot
as I"ve sold in the past.
The date found for everything so far has been
right around the turn of the century.
CONDITION:
This piece is beautiful. It shows use but not mis-use.
You must remember, they are after all, just over 100 years old.
